There are two volute seals of a slurry pump, one is between the volute and throat bush(code as 124), the other is in the middle of frame plate liner insert and volute(code as 125)

Slurry Pump Back Liner Seal 124 Volute Liner Seal and 125 Volute Frame Seal
Volute Liner Seal (124 or 125), which is one of two types:
a. O-Ring Type: Volute Frame Seal (125). Pump sizes 1.5/1 MH, 2/1.5 MH, and 3/2 MH. This seal is fitted refer to picture showing (124). Fit O-Ring type Volute Liner Seal (125) over periphery of Frame Plate Liner Insert, and adjacent Frame Plate. Fit O-Ring type Volute Liner Seal (125) over periphery of Frame Plate Liner Insert, and adjacent Frame Plate.
b. ‘C’-Section Type: Volute Liner Searl (124) – 4/3 MH, 12/10 MH, 14/12 MH, 16/14 MH, 6/4 MH, 8/6 MH, 10/8 MH, and 10/8 M, 20/18 MH, 10/8F-M, 12/10E-M, and 12/10F-M Fit Volute Liner Seal (124).
Fit to groove in the Frame Plate, mounted flat face in, using contact cement adhesive if required. In these pumps the Liner Seal (124) is an integral part of the Cover Plate Liner (018).
