Frame Plate
The pump casing of the slurry pump is composed of the cover plate and the frame plate. The pump casing encloses the wet parts of the pump and supplies enough pressure to avoid the leak. It forms a pump chamber with the volute liner and throat bush to transfer the slurries. Usually, the pump case is not easy to be worn out except if the environment is corrosive.
See the left pictures. The pump casing with an outlet is called the cover plate. The other pump casing connected to the bearing assembly is called the frame plate.
